A good business card can set the tone for your whole business. For this project, my client Lori, wanted to update her business card. She had been using the same one for years, but felt it was busy and sometimes confusing.

Breathing new life into established businesses is so fun. The hard work of brainstorming a successful business model is done. All that is left is updating and simplifying to match the times.

As a freelance Court Reporter, Lori’s business card also acts as a mini website. So unlike most people who just need their email and phone number, Lori also needed to briefly list her offerings, as well as state her certification numbers. With a little font wizardary, we were able to get all the information we needed, without it feeling crowded or difficult to read. For Lori’s logo, we chose a timeless and professional serif font called Nature of Beauty, and kept her color palate fairly neural by using a pretty blue-green accent (#63767a). This will also be her colors for her website re-design that we have planned for next year.
