I love re-imagining outdated websites, so this was a really fun project for me. Lori is a Court Reporter and her website, which was built in the late 90’s, hadn’t really been touched much since.

For the design and branding, we wanted to keep her theme modern and professional. As a Court Reporter, Lori primarily works with lawyers and judges in large conference rooms and downtown offices. We wanted her site to match this audience. We also clarified her messaging and services so that is was crystal clear what her different offerings were.

We chose a beautiful but classic serif font called Nature of Beauty for her logo redesign. This anchored the site and set the tone we were looking for. We kept the palate clean and neural with a primary accent in an elegant greenish-blue cyan (#647579), with a grayish purple (#C4BCB9) secondary accent. In addition to high quality professional images, we utilized icons with descriptors to better highlight her different service offerings.

Lori’s domain and site were hosted through GoDaddy, so we decided to keep everything there. GoDaddy has some excellent template outlines, as well as a robust professional email service offering, which is something Lori needed. So we upgraded her email, and built her new site using one of GoDaddy’s templates as a base. Once we were happy with the re-design, it only took one click to bring her updated site to life!
