Itโs hard to even know where to begin this post, so much has happened in the past six months! My last blog was in February, and was about a large group outing that Sean and I took with Dukeโs dog park friends. That reality feels like a decade ago now.
When Kathy, one of our dog park friends, texted to see if we wanted to take Duke on an off-leash hike, I was a little hesitant to say yes. Duke is a good boy, but heโs also only 10 months old and has a strong prey drive (oh hi, German Shepherd + Husky + Akita + Jindo mix). Literally all of his breeds were bred for hunting, guarding, and patrol duties.
January for us, as for most people I think, was a time of resetting and getting back to routine. I generally love the Christmas season, so it always kinda surprises me how ready I am for it to be over by the end of December. Thereโs something oddly re-energizing about routine and productivity.
I had no idea what to expect at my first show. I knew that I enjoyed attending them, but exhibiting at one felt strangely intimidating and impossible. How do you set up a booth? How do you take credit cards? Do you need a lot of inventory on hand? How does the load in and out work? So many questions.
