Alina is a Los Angeles based personal trainer, and she meets her clients outside. After we wrapped up a recent brand photo shoot and logo creation, we started talking about her online presence and goals for her business.

She primarily works with busy professionals and parents in the Silicon Beach area of LA, so she wanted a site that detailed her in-person offer, as well as her virtual and online training services.

She choose a bright green accent for her logo, so we kept that color palate for her website. She had a Squarespace account, but hadn’t done much with it yet.

Side note, this is very common. Many of my clients have signed up for a service and attempted to build a site, however despite the fact that the Squarespaces and Wixs of the world provide templates, there are still many, many design and copy decisions YOU need to make. The sites also require quite a bit of technical knowhow which can be time consuming to learn. So if you are feeling stuck even though it’s an “easy to use” service, you are not alone. I can help you!

We started with easy to understand copy and bright images to match her green. Often people try and over-complicate their offer, or get too clever with wording. If people don’t know what you do within the first 5 seconds on your site, you’ll likely loose them. Keep it simple always. In addition to her homepage, Alina also had some great testimonies from former clients, so we dedicated a full page to them. We also added two short and sweet service pages where people can click to connect to her virtual and online services.

As a former personal trainer myself, it was fun to dive back into that world with Alina as we created her new site. Look her up if you are on the westside of LA!
