This project has been a special labor of love. I created my company, Kettlebells and Cupcakes, in 2018. Initially, I provided private personal training and nutrition coaching, but towards the end of my first year, I joined forces with a former client, and started work on my first signature line of organic protein powders and unflavored collagen.

After many rounds of raw material testing, I finally found a winning combination of clean and simple, but also delicious ingredients, and everything went off to my manufacturer for packing. I then turned my attention to the website. I wanted to create a site that was clean, modern, motiving and inspiring.

For the fonts I kept it simple, and created an understated logo using brandon grotesque (a classic). My target demographic is women, so for the color palate I incorporated warmer pink tones. The imagery was critical to fully rounding out the brand story.

Because I sell a physical product, I needed a robust e-commerce store. Knowing what I know now, if you are looking for a good e-commerce platform, I wouldn’t actually recommend Squarespace. It will get the job done, but can be confusing with sales tax collocations, and seamless shipping integration options.

The last section that I designed was my blog. This was something I started when I was a Personal Trainer, so I was able to transfer over many posts, and created templates for sending weekly marketing emails.

As I said before, it’s been a labor of love, but one I am very proud of!
